Tamannaah Bhatia Issues Clarification After Posting Promotional Ad Of Banned Gambling Website 'Lotus365', Says 'Wasn't Aware Of Brand's History'
Tamannaah Bhatia, a prominent figure in Bollywood, has sparked controversy by promoting a prohibited gambling website on her social media platform. On Wednesday, she shared a promotional video on her official Instagram account in collaboration with the banned gambling platform 'Lotus365.' However, the post was later deleted, and her team explained that it was an unintentional error. In early 2023, the Central government escalated its actions against digital platforms, prohibiting a total of 581 apps as of now. This includes 174 apps associated with betting and gambling and 87 linked to loan lending. Among the prohibited apps are well-known names such as Parimatch, Fairplay, 1XBET, Lotus365, Dafabet, and Betwaysatta. Some were previously banned, while others were conducting unauthorized operations within India. The intensified actions against illegal betting and gambling apps gained momentum after an Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation into an alleged money laundering syndicate.

On the work front, Tamannaah is set to make a cameo appearance in the eagerly awaited horror-comedy sequel Stree 2
